Police said she was found with a small amount of drugs and drug-related items in her possession. Her official cause of death had not yet been confirmed at the time, but her mother, Veronica, believed her daughter may have died from a fentanyl overdose.
Veronica shared her heartbreak publicly, describing Gwynevere as her best friend, daughter, and “sweetheart baby.” She said her daughter had struggled with substance use for some time but had recently told her she had stopped using for three weeks.
According to her mother, Gwynevere thought she could use “one more time,” but that final decision ended in tragedy. Her story remains a painful reminder of how dangerous drug use can be, especially when substances may contain fentanyl.
