A 40-year-old woman, who had proudly guarded her “single status” her entire life, finally decided she was absolutely done waiting.
She marched into a matchmaking office and slammed her purse on the desk.
“I want a husband. Immediately. No delays, no excuses, no ‘we’ll call you.’ I’ve waited 40 years—I’m not renewing the subscription!”
The matchmaker adjusted his glasses and said, “Alright, ma’am… any preferences?”
She took a deep breath and said:
“Yes. He should be kind, loyal, financially stable… and most importantly…”
She leaned in and whispered dramatically:
“…he should know EXACTLY what he’s doing.”
The matchmaker nodded seriously. “Understood.”
A week later, he calls her.
“Good news! I’ve found the perfect man for you.”
She rushes in, heart racing. “Tell me everything!”
“Well,” he says, “he’s experienced, calm under pressure, very patient… and he’s been married three times.”
Her eyes widened. “Three times?! Why so many?”
The matchmaker smiled:
“Practice, ma’am… pure practice.”
